Very comfortable and relaxing hotel. Best hotel I stayed at during my multi-city trip in Germany. Friendly, courteous, and attentive staff. Quiet location just steps from Hauptbahnhof and Altstadt.
Pleasant reception, nice size, well equipped rooms with all mod cons except hot drink making equipment and supplies, but there are facilities in the bar area. There is a nice size pool which has to be said was cold. Breakfast is the best.
Choose a five star hotel in Hannover and explore this historic German city from a luxurious, central base. Hannover Altstadt is the city’s Old Town. Book a five-star hotel here and wander through cobbled streets and pretty market squares ringed by half-timbered buildings and Gothic churches. The Altstadt is also home to some of Hannover’s most notable sights, including the Hannover Opera House and the imposing Marketkirche.
Hannover’s city centre might be historic, but isn’t all about the past. Choose your five-star Hannover accommodation here and you’ll also be able to explore big-brand shops and designer boutiques. Head to the Ernst August Galerie mall and Georgstrasse for big names, and for specialist fashion, design and interiors stores try smaller arcades such as Galerie Luise and Kröpcke Passage.
To experience the best of Hannover’s high culture scene, see a performance at the State Opera House. This striking neoclassical building hosts a varied calendar of music, ballet and opera between September and June – staff at your five-star Hannover hotel should be able to help you secure tickets. For an insight into Hannover’s thousand-year history visit the Historisches Museum, then head to the Sprengel Museum for the best in contemporary and 20th century art, including work by Picasso, Paul Klee, Max Ernst and local hero Kurt Schwitters.
Most five-star hotels in Hannover have excellent on-site restaurants, but the city has plenty more to offer committed gastronauts. In central Hannover you’ll find everything from fine dining to characteristically Saxon cuisine. Regional produce is undergoing a renaissance, and Hannover has some excellent farmers’ shops and markets. Explore the great Market Hall in the Old Town to discover the real tastes of the region – try the distinctive Calenberger Pfannenschlag pork sausage, or smoked eels from nearby Lake Steinhude.
