Hannover Airport is located in Langenhagen, around seven miles to the north of the city. It is one of the ten busiest in Germany serving around six million passengers every year. Good bus and rail services link the airport to the city and the wider Saxony region, and the airport is also well connected to the motorway network.

Hannover is renowned for having an exceptional public transport network with buses, trams and subway trains traversing the city centre. And a walk around the Maschsee, especially in the summer, is also highly recommended.
