"Obviously perfect location if, like us, you are flying first thing in the morning. Bar lovely but same price as the restaurant or even room service. Weird but reassuringly airport expensive. Meal was very nice but optional service charge was added without being told it's optional. Now there is a minimum wage it is not required - it's just pumping up the bill a bit more and the server said he doesn't see it, it goes to the company. Hotel is a bit tired now room wise but communal areas are nice and shiny"

"Nice room, comfortable bed but nothing to shout about. Breakfast was the highlight although service was a bit slow during the rush. Reflections leisure centre was nice with outdoor and indoor pool and jacuzzi and sauna. We went twice. Staff friendly."

"The hotel was very surprisingly pleasantly decorated and stylish inside and out not feeling like you were in Southend so don’t let the positioning fool you excellent walking distance from theatre hence reason for staying there staff were very friendly and helpful the sea view was a sea view and not just a glimpse , restaurant food was very good and tasty . However fancied a late night snack called room service which took forever to arrive. Can’t be perfect but definitely worth staying there"
