Overall our. Stay was adequate at a reasonable price. It was like staying at Faulty Towers. The room although clean was accessible via an outdoor metal staircase, difficult if you have bad eyesight. The ceiling was apexed with limited head room. The bathroom was the same which made having a shower impossible unless you were 2ft tall and as Senior Citizens the bath was impossible to get in and out of. The basin taps could not be turned off properly so was constantly dripping. Very badly designed. Not good for Seniors or disabled.
The staff although mainly friendly did not have a clue as what was going on. On arrival they couldn’t find our booking. We were told on a number of occasion that you didn’t have to book for dinner yet when we wanted to eat was told we couldn’t because we hadn’t booked. The same thing happened at breakfast even though we had booked and paid in advance. These problems were sorted out but it was very confusing.
There were not enough staff and none seem to know what to do. Although a nice setting and a large building, the whole place was badly run down and needed a lot of TLC.
