"The room we booked was clean and very pleasant but unfortunately overnight on the first day the toilet cistern developed a leak. Because it was a Sunday and they couldn't get a plumber to attend they helped us move into a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment with its own living room and kitchen at no extra charge. We were so impressed we have booked a similar one bedroom apartment at the Green Dragon at the beginning of September."

Stayed for evening meal and it was excellent one of the best meals I have had at a restaurant. Breakfast excellent freshly cooked to order. Beautiful scenery in a peaceful setting If you are visiting Penrith area this is the place to stay "

"The check in was slow as no staff were about and had to wait for a while. However staff were welcoming and helpful and approachable. The room itself was basic but met the requirements for us. It was quite hot at night and the curtains didn’t do their job very well resulting in our daughter waking at 5.30am. The towels were of a reasonable standard but could do with being replaced. The room was facing onto a main road so traffic noise the next morning was noticeable and woke us up. Breakfast was limited but cooked breakfast was nice choice and came quickly and hot. "

"Staff were friendly and helpful. Convenient car parking. Our room was a good size but very tired decor, dust/cobwebs hanging from ceiling, bathroom very old fashioned and in serious need of modernisation. The bedroom (Room 9) overlooked a noisy courtyard and there was music playing until at least 11pm. Breakfast was very good. The hotel also sent an unnecessarily high number of messages via Expedia in the run up to our stay which was more annoying than helpful, particularly as they didn’t display properly and were mostly trying to sell upgrades to our stay."
