"We stayed in the Annexe which is a short walk from the main hotel. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was large but the shower is over the bath. We had a view of the sea and a balcony with outdoor furniture. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had half-board. The menu was varied and the dinners were excellent. Breakfast was help yourself with an extensive buffet. I couldn't work out how to use the Spa but it seemed that you needed to plan ahead and book in advance."

"Clean room with tea and coffee making facilities. There was a notice in the bathroom indicating that the water pressure may be low due to an old plumbing system but we had no issues with the water whatsoever. The view from the room, and indeed the balcony area in the pub, was absolutely superb. The local area is lovely too. Staff were nice and helpful too. The hotel is right on the waterfront, around a 10 min drive from Lakeside pier on Lake Windermere but I would personally recommend driving c.20 mins to Bowness on Windermere if you prefer a livelier location with more options. My only comment would be the QR codes in the helpful information booklets provided took you to an old menu for the pub food and i think it would be beneficial if that could be updated."

"Suite was lovely, cistern was a bit iffy and sometimes got stuck so was running constantly, was able to rectify it though. Didn't realise the fridge was on maximum so it froze a couple of things. Stairs and steps were an issue bit that was down to us not doing our homework properly. Overall a good experience"

"This property is extremely poignant as I yes I proudly attended the adjacent school many years ago and therefore it is extremely special very much within my heart. During my proud attendance at the school, this used to be a fully functional agricultural farm. Years later, I understand the property Lee dormant and I’m actually surprised the school didn’t take it over and continue it as an agricultural farm. It would have been Ideal had the School transformed into a further education College as I’d certainly liked to have gone back under these or different circumstances."
