"Lovely building and very close to town centre, all the staff are lovely - friendly and helpful. Our room was ok but not as clean as it should have been, only 1 set of towels on arrival, shower gel was empty. All got resolved though as soon as I requested. We hung up our towels to re-use but they were changed each day. Free bottled water provided each day and good tea and coffee set up. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was amazing - plenty of choices and really well done. Menu only, no buffet for juice or pastries or any extras but it was all prepared fresh and served quickly with generous portions."

"I had completed the online check-in process the previous evening, and my booking had been confirmed. This stay was not a routine reservation; it was carefully planned to celebrate my husband’s birthday, for which he had travelled from London. Being informed of the cancellation less than one hour before our arrival is completely unacceptable and has caused significant disruption. The manner in which this situation has been handled strikes me as highly unprofessional. A cancellation at such short notice, despite prior confirmation and completed check-in, suggests a serious failure in your booking management. It is difficult not to conclude that the hotel may have overbooked and attempted to justify this with an inadequate explanation."

"Disappointed that I was not notified that they had a wedding at the hotel as this affect my stay, no food being served at night and the poor staff was extremely busy, I had to go somewhere else to get a drink. "

"It was just little things that stopped me giving it 4 stars. We had 4 rooms and all didn't have a second toilet roll and one had barely half of a roll. Ours was missing a large towel and our message to them wasn't actioned. The hotel itself is well positioned right next to a Co-Op where you can pre-book car parking."
