"What a lovely place to come on holiday! Such a homely comfortable house and so interesting to see everything that the owner has picked up on his travels over the years, especially his extensive book collection. The kitchen was very clean and extremely well stocked - everything a cook could need and more! The beds were comfortable and bedrooms a good size.The best thing was the location though - in a lovely tucked-away village with stunning views from the bottom of the garden and several footpaths to explore. We had a wonderful walk along the River Stour in the beautiful May sunshine!We will definately come back!"

"Room clean as usual, just one thing, the bathroom shower screen could do with a clean. Cooked breakfast was huge!! Good choice on the menu. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Went out of their way to help. Parking was ok. "

Everything you need is here and a it's a great base to explore lots of local places of interest. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. Could not fault and would definitely recommend."

"Really enjoyed our stay. Welcome was courteous and helpful. We had an evening meal which was delicious. Service was great. Breakfast was the highlight! Enjoyed the Dorset dairy yoghurt. One very minor point no smoked salmon alternative to bacon with the eggs Benedict but mushroom was suggested instead and was equally delicious. Overall an excellent stay room was comfy, cosy and clean - thank you 🙏"

"We booked the hotel through Expedia for a cycle event in Wincanton. The location was perfect. Our room was huge and had an external door allowing access to the exterior. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the meal. Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked too. All staff were pleasant and sociable to us. Would happily stay again."
