Hunters Lodge Inn

8/10 Good

"Wincanton town seems not to have much to offer food-wise and I would happily recommend using the hotel's own kitchen such as the carvery and the specials board. Breakfast arrangements were generous to the point of oversupply from evidence of full tables attracting non residents and passing A303 trade right up to 11:00 am and beyond. Check-out time is also generous so could relax on our last morning. Hunters Lodge seems to be family run and they certainly put their back into looking after theur guests. On a separate matter, if driving an EV or hybrid, don't rely on the EV charger to be working, at least not the T2 plug. It worked one day, but not the next which was a pain. The chargepoints are handily in the (huge) hotel car park, but of course have nothing to do wih the running of the hotel."

The Nog Inn

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed here 2 nights whilst visiting the area, what a great find. The accommodation is in a separate building set behind the pub in the beer garden..the room was comfortable with a lovely bathroom. We had our evening meals in the pub and also breakfast, what fantastic food, 10/10 and the service from the owners and their team was first class. Thankyou. Nog Inn.."
