"November Stay"
Great location by the Loch and had a room overlooking the water. Room a littled 'tired', but adequate and clean. Although staying midweek, hotel was busy so didn't dine in evening. Breakfast was a buffet with the joys that brings and not close to the main dining area. Pool is hotel size (not big), but well maintained. Overall, it's not a 'luxury' hotel, but it was fine and I was staying to see the area and it's fantastic scenery.

"Didn't have our reservation!"
When we checked in, the hotel told us they didn't have our reservation. We showed them the Expedia web page and they pointed out that even though it said that the reservation was confirmed, it didn't have a confirmation number. It seems Expedia dropped the ball. The hotel was sold out but someway, they got a room for us. Thanks!

"Excellent value for money with great views"
I can't fault the staff at all, at check in the receptionist offered some hints and tips where to go with my dog which was very helpful. Breakfast was superb on an evening we chose to eat at the hotel bar as we had our dog which was great and for those without their four legged friends you could dine in the restaurant as dogs were not allowed in! On the negative side the hotel is very dated and could do with an update as carpets and rugs were very worn, however it was very clean. They have a spa but we didn't get the chance to use it, I'm planning on going back as I wish to discover more of the Hebrides as this area is very beautiful.

"Love the Leisure facilities"
Stayed many times and it's looking better for the ongoing refurbishment. Unfortunately, first room I was given had a non-profit radiator in the bathroom...so very cold. But a quick word to reception and they changed me to a beautiful warm room. The key to good service is the way things that are wrong are dealt with...and the staff were superb. I stay here when I'm travelling to visit family if I can because the Leisure suite us great...pool, sauna and steam room and a great way to relax after a long drive.

The castle hotel is lovely, but -- as others have indicated -- it is rather overpriced. Having breakfast included helped, but at these prices I would think afternoon tea and dinner would also be included. Probably only worth it for someone with means or a really big splurge. I'm glad we stayed here, but was only able to balance out the steep cost by staying for next to nothing at other places on the trip.
