Excellent and plentiful breakfast. Great stay.

We were checked in on arrival by a friendly receptionist who was professional and helpful. The hotel was spacious with an amazing view of the golf course. The food in the restaurant was very nice. Congratulations to all the staff who worked hard to make our 2 night stay relaxing and enjoyable.

Great location, beautiful artwork, facilities of a 5 star hotel in a homely guest house. Local produce at breakfast and a well stocked honesty bar. Hosts are attentive and lots of information for travellers. Can’t wait to return.

The house is situated on a hill overlooking Carnoustie. It is very nicely decorated and well maintained. We had a twin room on the top floor. It was well laid out. The beds were very comfortable. The ensuite had a larger shower cubicle than average. Breakfast was very nice, with good quality ingredients. Lisa was a very good host, welcoming and full of useful information

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Apex Dundee, our room was really comfortable and spacious with a fabulous view across to the Tay Bridge and V&A. We ate in the restaurant and bar and everything was fresh and tasty. Looking forward to coming back!

Absolutely fab stay. Maybe a bit more expensive than it should be for what’s offered. Room was bigger than expected and very clean. Wardrobe was small but it did the job for one night. Lighting was quite poor for getting ready and the vanity mirror is far too high to be useful. Bathroom was small but the shower was big and very good pressure. Basic toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel) are provided. Tea and coffee also provided in the room. No parking on-site but there is a car park...

Fantastic room and service, well presented and adapted to the government’s pandemic guidelines. Jessica was incredibly welcoming and clearly loves her work. We just wish we’d stayed longer.

What a lovely place to stay, very welcoming and friendly

I have stayed at lots of hotels. I would recommend this hotel for the friendly staff who put my wife and myself as their family and did a very good job of looking after us.I would go back there when we got back to Dundee. All the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was big and very comfortable. The spa facilities were good but even though it wasn't busy we didn't manage to get to relax in the hot tub as it is very popular. We were disappointed about that. Breakfast was generous and great quality.

Room was comfortable and the pub downstairs had great food and drinks choices and staff very friendly. Breakfast was great as well.

Everything was perfect: quiet; gorgeous room with large ensuite; fabulous breakfast; fast internet; close to water in Dundee; lovely 12miles drive to St Andrews. Best value for money and definitely a high end 4*. Would come back to Scotland just to stay here again.
