Hosted in a 14th century palace, the apartmrnt has been fully renovated, revealing the antique stone walls, and updated to the most modern and highest standard.
The spacious living with its sky high ceiling overlooks the antique facade of San Pier Maggiore and the little square in front of it.
Outside the front door is the Duomo, two blocks to the left, and to the right, a few steps away, are Sant'Ambrogio, Santa Croce, markets, cafes, and plenty of places for a glass of wine or great meal. The Sant' Ambrogio / San Croce area is a perfect location for visiting Florence.

Loved sitting with windows open - listening to and watching the street below come alive! Provided everything we needed - umbrellas, recommendations, etc. Only reason for 4 stars is that it is an older building and harder to maneuver from one space to the next (bed, bathroom, laundry).

This was a great place to stay. Walkable to everything. We loved sitting at night on the leather chairs, having a glass of wine, and people watching out the large door that looks over the cobblestone street below.

Clean, high end place offering all amenities. Bathrooms were beautiful, spacious with great water pressure. Separate AC for each bedroom along with floor AC that worked really well. They even stocked us with bread, eggs, jam, cheese and coffee. Great location and felt very safe with my teen daughters.

We really enjoyed our stay and this beautiful apartment. Everything is very well maintained with two beautiful bathrooms that rival many 5-star hotels. The location is perfect as you are just far enough away from the tourist areas to avoid crowds but close enough to walk and see the sights. There are a number of great cafes and restaurants within a 2 min walk.

Our stay at Stone Walls was everything we hoped it would be. The apartment was very clean and just as the listing described. Other reviews mentioned the location could be loud as it is situated above a spirts bar, however we did not find this to be an issue as the windows closed tightly and reduced the street noise significantly. We enjoyed sitting in the living room window each morning with our coffee watching the city come to life. The terrace was enjoyable for early evening wine and snacks. The host was very responsive, accommodating and friendly with any questions or needs. The location had many restaurants and cafés to offer and we felt very safe. We would definitely return to this property the next time we visit Florence.

Location is great becasue it’s central and it’s beautiful. Just as advertised. The only thing is that becasue it’s so central it was a little noisy into the late night. This isn’t the owners fault but more a by product of cultural differences someone may want to know. Wonderful stay.

Place was very modern and in a safe close location to everything. Sandy was an amazing host and very attentive to all of our needs. Even allowed extra time as needed for departure and arranged cab to train station Our only complaint was that our vacation had to end !!!!!!

Spent the week before Christmas with family in this beautiful apartment in the center of the city. Apartment better than pictures convey. check in was a breeze. Florence is a very walkable city and no car required. Fantastic restaurants/shopping nearby. Highly recommend

This apartment is as pictured/described - uniquely and functionally designed with all the necessities to feel at home. Living room space, views of the piazza and steam shower were definite highlights for our stay. Beds and pillows could be upgraded as they weren’t the most comfortable but everything else was fantastic so still 5 stars. Hosts were easy to reach and informative.

Beautiful apartment. Modern fixtures and furniture mixed with the stylish brick is stunning. We had everything we needed. There were four of us and it felt we had our own private areas. This property is minutes from everything in Florence. Cindy and Claudio welcomed us in person and even had a few groceries for us. The apartment is beautiful but it does have many steps to the front door and also inside so if you have trouble with steps be warned. Otherwise it is a fun place to stay. I would definitely recommend.

The place is truly amazing. The space you have for a family of four is immense. The beds were very comfortable and our kids loved the space they had up the curved stairs. Claudio was great to meet and welcome us. He showed us everything and gave us some tips on where and where not to go. We were treated to fresh cold water, eggs, cheese bread and coffee on our arrival. He even arranged a Taxi for us on our last day to pick us up. There is a bar down stairs not associated with the building you are in just part of the main plaza you look out. There is noise but the apartment is solid stone and brick walls. With the windows closed each night it did not bother us at all and to me made the area more lively. We will def look to stay here again.

Fantastic modern updated apartment, however some issues with access to the apartment. Two flights of concrete very steep stairs made it difficult to get in and out of the apartment. My suggestion would be any guest over 60 years old should consider the two flights of stairs. Also second floor bedroom, in my opinion, as an unsafe platform. It is an open area with no safety railings which my wife dangerous.
