Fantastic location

Posted 27-Oct-2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Maybe a slight update in the hotel condition
Location: All main attractions are very close, as well as restaurants.
Very close to the Duomo and other main attractions. You will hear the church bells ringing at 7am though so be prepared! Had a small issue with the room but after speaking to the incredibly helpful staff this was resolved very efficiently. Breakfast was also of a good quality with lots of variety.

Close to everything and clean and comfy.

Posted 18-Oct-2017
Pros: Clean, very central, helpful staff, nice sheets and towels, good breakfast if you aren't expecting too much.
Cons: The buffet breakfast. More choices of cereal and better coffee would be nice, and better fruit - the stuff when we were there was unripe.
Location: You couldn't get a better location. Out the front door and straight ahead is the Duomo. We walked most places in 10/15 minutes, including the Uffizi.
This hotel is very convenient for the Duomo and most other places in Florence, but this also means it can be a bit noisy late at night. We did not mind this as we walked ourselves silly and slept very well! The staff were helpful and the hotel was clean and reasonably comfortable but the buffet breakfast was not as good as most other reviews had led us to expect. We found that the eateries in Florence were very expensive and the price you see up outside is very rarely the price you will pay. Watch out for this and get the actual price upfront. We also found a lot of these places treated tourists with a marked lack of respect! Little backstreet cafes which the locals used were the best and we also really liked the Central Market for food and drinks - try it!.

Boutique hotel in great central location

Posted 06-Oct-2017
Pros: Staff was courteous and friendly. Breakfast was very good. Room was clean and quiet. Room safe worked well. Good shelf, closet space. Free Wi-Fi.
Cons: Couldn't get Air conditioning cool enough. Also found mosquitos in room after staff cleaning. No screen in Windows. Need elec. outlet in bathroom.
Location: Big plus is the central location and easy walking distance to major attractions and restaurants and the train station. ATM is just around the corner.
Located one block from Duomo, hotel is on a quiet side street and has an old world charm. Did a one week city stay to explore Florence and Tuscany region.

Basic but Good

Posted 03-Oct-2017
Pros: Staff and breakfast included.
Cons: Coffee/tea in room, and fridge.
Location: Right by the Duomo and Main Street.
Very basic room. Nice bathroom. Staff are excellent. Our room was small with no additional facilities such as coffee/tea options and no fridge. Location was very good though so made up for some deficiencies. Best thing was the breakfast - eggs, meats, cheese, buns, and great coffee.

Perfect location

Place was clean and let us leave the luggages before out check in time. Breakfast was good. Hotel is close to everything such as the duomo or train station.

Comfortable place with great location

Posted 23-Sep-2017
This place is old, but comfortable and the staff was fantastic. Remember to bring your mosquito repellant though. Florence has a bit of a problem with mosquitoes, and for some reason they don't appear to have embraced the idea of window screens.

Fantastic location near Florence Cathedral

Fantastic location in a street with bags if character. About 10 minute walk from train station. Room suited our needs and was air-conditioned which was perfect in the August heat.

Excellent position, had all we needed

Posted 18-Aug-2017
Pros: There wasn't anything we didn't like
Cons: I would make chocolate spread available at breakfast
This is very comfortable hotel in an excellent position in the centre of Florence. The room was small but had all the essentials for a short stay in the city. Has air con which was a real bonus!
