Second visit to Thurnham Hall and it was not a let down. The greeting when you arrive is second to none. The hall itself is beautiful and the studio room was perfect for the two of us. Hotel public areas well laid out with nice comfortable seating, check in was prompt and easy. Room was well laid out, lovely spacious bathroom with a good sized walk in shower. Comfortable L shape sofa and a large tv and you can plug in your firestick if you want to watch your favourite tv shows. Upon our arrival, there was no parking left in the car park, however, we were able to park nearby, and the next morning were able to put it into the car park, so it wasn't any issue. What a find ! This hotel was one of the best we have stayed at . The welcome was warm and friendly , nothing was too much trouble . Our breakfast was delicious and we loved how different times were available. The hotel offered an earlier check in time than many others and check out is 12 o clock which means on a weekend away you can manage a lie in and a long leisurely breakfast which was just what we needed . A chance conversation outside of a building turned into the discovery of a gem of a place. Newly refurbished and opened on the day I had that encounter with Dave, the manager. The room was spotless with a very comfortable bed. Already looking forward to my next visit.

Away from the hustle and bustle of South Blackpool but so close to public transport links and the front gives it a nice relaxed atmosphere without feeling like your in the middle of nowhere. This B&B is in a perfect location, being just a short 3 – 5 min walk from the sea front & the same to the shops. Its situation at the north end pier end but with the trams running every few minutes it really doesn’t matter which end you are. We had such a relaxing time. Just what was needed before heading back to work next week. The Aqua thermal journey was amazing- a whole two hours with no phone, no conversation just me and my thoughts. Bliss! The food was delicious and the staff were just lovely, so welcoming and friendly. Our room was beautiful and so comfortable. We paid for this with our Tesco Clubcard voucher so our whole stay cost £79 for dinner bed and breakfast for 2 nights.

We received a warm welcome in the bar and were shown our room. The room was quite small but it was clean and well laid out and had everything we needed. Breakfast of cereal bar, instant porridge and a croissant is provided but we headed to the Wetherspoons or local cafe. The bar is very welcoming and has a nice atmosphere. We liked the central location for exploring Lancaster and not far from the University so we were able to easily visit our son. We will definitely be back.
