"The hotel was nice, everything was clean and in good shape, however after arriving at 7pm and hoping for an early night we were met with an extremely loud FUN FAIR parked RIGHT in front of the hotel with no prior warning from reception. We were assured it would be shut down by 10pm and it was, however, they then spent 2 hours breaking the whole thing down and were banging and clanging until midnight. Then the street sweepers arrived bright and early around 6am to clean up after them. Not a very restful night."

"Very convenient location, breakfast was excellent ,staff vey helpful. Because it is an old building the rooms are a bit creaky and stairs steep . No lift. Car parking available in public car park five minutes walk away. Scratch-card vouchers available from hotel at £10 for 24 hours."

"A beautiful historic building in a quiet location with free parking. We stayed in a deluxe double room which was on the top floor. The room had been fairly recently renovated and the bathroom was very modern. If you stay on a Sunday night there is no food available but you can walk along the "town path" into Salisbury city centre in about 15 minutes."

"The hotel is conveniently situated in central Salisbury. The rooms are clean and comfortable but not easily accessible for the infirm . I did not eat there as there was a wedding and the kitchen was closed."
