For travellers interested in exploring the wider Yorkshire Dales National Park, Finghall offers excellent access. It's a short drive to popular market towns like Leyburn and Bedale, and within easy reach of attractions such as Bolton Castle and Aysgarth Falls.

The best time to visit Finghall is during the late spring and summer months, specifically from May to September, when the weather is generally mild and the days are longer.

During this period, you'll find the most pleasant conditions for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, with average temperatures ranging from 15°C to 20°C. This makes it ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, and visiting local attractions without the chillier temperatures or heavier rainfall often associated with other times of the year.

Couples looking for a relaxing getaway will appreciate the beauty of the Dales in full bloom. You can enjoy scenic walks along the River Ure, explore historic villages, and dine in country pubs with picturesque views. The longer daylight hours mean more time to take in the stunning landscapes and enjoy leisurely evenings.

Families will also find these months superb for a trip. The warmer weather makes it comfortable for children to explore the countryside, visit nearby castles like Bolton Castle, or enjoy activities such as pony trekking.
