Only drawbacks: the room with three beds is a bit dark, the bath room floor gets very slippery, and they only have plastic cups in the rooms (not very environmentally friendly). It is a very safe and well taken care of facility. Fiesole is a bit hilly so just be aware of that. It is after all at the top of a hill above Florence. There is a climb up some steep stairs, which maybe difficult for some. Basic amenities were provided and when we asked for a kettle we were brought a tray with tea, coffee, cakes and a kettle. An unexpected feast! A bus service into Florence is a short walk away as are restaurants and a tavern. The bus trip into Florence only cost EUR1.50. The views of the Tuscan countryside from the room are magnificent. Breakfast is full on with locally sourced products from around Fiesole. Cheeses, bread, cakes, coffee, pastries, eggs and cereal all available.
