"Having the whole of York on our doorstep was such a great experience. Having three children (3-7years) we were able to explore the city without a single winge or whine. The lovely kitchen and dining room made dinner times a pleasure. We all loved it!"

"Chose this property for the proximity to a family wedding, but so glad we did. The accomodation is pure luxury, extremely comfortable, well equipped and with amazing mattresses for a fabulous nights sleep. You are set in the country but with easy access to visit numerous places easily. You can sit and enjoy watching the birds and wildlife. The hosts are very friendly and accomodating and have made a wonderful place to stay. Highly recomend. Thankyou."

"The communication for this rental was excellent. Every facet of the apartment was explained in a well-crafted binder with useful information about the city, transportation, appliances, etc. Great host, would definitely stay again. (Just note there is no laundry)."

"House was fine for our stay, nice touch by the owner to leave milk & biscuits on our arrival. 10-15 minute walk to the Bootham end of the city walls. All in all house was a fine base for a weekend in York."

"A lovely little property, tucked out of the way 15 minutes walk from one of the gates to the city of York. We parked the car and then left it there. There were local buses but we didn't feel the need to use them. A very modern downstairs bathroom. The stairs were narrow but were aware of this in the comprehensive details. "Very nicely renovated historic property. Fantastic for a family getaway after Christmas. Easy access in to the town center. Plentiful hot water. One observation is that the kitchen was cold/drafty and as we visited in winter this was particularly noticeable. The door to the main bathroom doesn’t close properly but did not impair our usage of the bathroom. Overall a wonderful stay!"

"A smart little house within short walking distance of all the city centre attractions. Well equipped and decorated tastefully throughout. We found it a little draughty in places but it was a particularly cold weekend! The only criticism was that the welcome pack was extremely basic and we felt it was well below the standard of the house itself. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this property."

"Lovely house in a brilliant location, close enough to walk to attractions yet quiet. We loved the conservatory- kept beautifully warm by the kitchen range, though cooking with the range was tricky and we didn’t discover the microwave until the final day! Clean and functional, daughter loved the attic room and en-suite! Thank you for a good stay"

"Positives: The house was large with nice grounds. There was a nice walk to the local pub. The bedrooms overall were nice. Technical issues: • The hot tub kept tripping the fuseboard. So we missed out on the tub on the Friday night. • A few more dishwashing tablets would have been helpful, as would bin bags • The outside staircase up to the building had large spaces between the bars, which is dangerous for small kids. We suggest a simple wire in the middle of these to ensure kids don’t fall...

"Constant, very loud, drunken stupidity made for a pretty sleepless night. Opposite 24 hour McDonald's. Really strong room fragrance in the kitchen was really off-putting and made me wonder what smells they were trying to conceal. Window sills not clean."

"We were quite surprised to discover that it was a terraced house but it was beautifully decorated ansnfelt very homely. We were fortunate to find off street parking further up the street but didn't move the car in case we lost our space. Towels were provided and the home was cosy and welcoming. Sadly the hot tub switched off overnight on the first evening so was cold for our first morning but we were able to turn it up easily so that it was hot in the late afternoon. "I booked this property and paid direct to the property. I received confirmation of payment by email. I drove to the property expecting a code for the key box. I did not get one. I tried phoning the letting company, no response, email no response, what'sapp no response. I contracted Hotels.com who also pursued. no response. I have lost my money and had to find alternative accomodation at a higher cost. do NOT book to stay at this property. it is a scam "

"I booked for 7 people to stay at property. The property looked lovely. There were 5 beds. The sofa bed which we intended to use had no bedding. Eventually I got a call back, and the person argued that everything was set and ready, and should be there. I was eventually told that bedding would be delivered to us the next day first thing in the morning .
