The Guesthouse was beautifully appointed, and the views from all windows over the river, very special. We had a Loft room, with King Bed, that was really spacious including a lounge, table n chairs. The owners were very helpful and friendly and served an amazing breakfast. Dinner twice up the road at the Harp Inn was great.

Very clean, spacious room . Parking is mostly paid just outside the b&b - I think 3 parkings are there so no problem with finding a place.

Superbly hosted by Jen and Howard. If your heading to Brecon look no further! With views of the Beacons second to none.

This is a small niche b/b hotel. Everything about it is excellent, the difference is the breakfast which is provided in your room via a small but fully functional kitchenette. This hotel was a lovely surprise, highly recommended.

Our 3rd visit to this wonderful hotel and we are already booking for December where they have lovely open log fires just adding to the surrounds. Ian also delighted they have relaxed the lounge menu which can now be eaten at tables. Quite right too so great management decision. Their main menu is a wonderful 5 courses but if staying more than a day then it’s nice to have a more relaxed menu choice which this time we had. Beautiful location. Great breakfast.

We stayed for only one night in August 2016 as a stopgap to the north of wales. But enjoyed our stay there tremendously. Mainly due to our hostess Rose, hospitality which added to all Altybrain has to offer in its beautiful, serene and tranquil surroundings.

An amazing place - right location near the mountains and valleys, spic, interior full of character as per the inn name, cheerful staff, good size rooms with amenities, tea and coffee with milk (not milk powder), a shower with superb spray force and priced perfectly. Whether you are a solo traveller or family, it's highly recommended if you are in Sennybridge.

This new business in a refurbished premises offers comfortable and well-appointed accommodation and a great atmosphere.

We came to Hay on Wye to look at the bookshops and stayed in the Swan as a central location. The hotel is an old building so the stairs creak a bit and the carpets are slightly frayed in places but the hotel was warm and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable ( 2 arm chairs - a definite asset) and had a good view across fields. The food was very good and not expensive and the wine list was well thought-out. Lovely stay and spa facilities.

We booked for 3 nights B and B from 28th May. The location was easy to find and we had a choice of two rooms. Both were large double bedrooms with duel aspect views over the local area. We choose the one with the views over the front of the building and the hills beyond. Our hosts were very welcoming and gave us tea and biscuits on arrival. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble.
