The Old Lodge

"The property, decoration, fittings, fixtures and furnishings are quite dated, don't expect a modern contemporary hotel. That said, the property is undergoing a programme of repair and refurbishment, it looks like a long job. The hotel was perfectly adequate for our short stay, we didn't have dinner but what we saw looked delicious, we can vouch the same for breakfast in which we did partake. Would we stop again, yes I think we would."

"We decide to stay at Molton, not York due to the relatively higher price of the York hotel and our trip plan. It proves to be a good choice. The property located in a small and quiet town with about 10-15 minutes walk to the railway station. It may look normal from outside but when you step in, you would be impressed by the warm and cozy atmosphere. The first floor is the restaurant and a bar, with so many selections. The room was super clean and you can tell everything was so well maintained. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. We like this place!"

"One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. It was our first child free few days away for a few years. Debbie checked us in and was fantastic and gave us some great pointers of where to eat out on our first night. We chose the Ellerby Country Inn( was fantastic). The room was immaculate and the bed was so comfy. The staff were all friendly and if you passed by them, they would ask if we needed anything or had a nice day. The featured rooms were brilliant. We stayed in Venice, with a bed shaped like a boat and a huge spa bath. Everything was spot on and more! Breakfast was included, with lots to choose from. We would definitely stay here again. Keep being amazing St.Hilda's Boutique."

"This was the perfect place to call home for the week we stayed and explored Yorkshire. Excellent food, perfect location, cozy. The staff were lovely. AND, it was Alf Wight’s (James Herriott’s) favorite spot in Thirsk. We couldn’t have liked it better!"
