"We really enjoyed our stay here, the property was well equipped with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. I do think the property does need updating a little and it would have been nice if the hot tub had been filled on arrival, the hot tub also needs a cover as unless you like cold feb rain wouldn’t have been enjoyable. "I brought my girlfriend here for a long weekend stay for her birthday, from start to finish it was a lovely stay, our room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, breakfast was extremely good with plenty of options, staff are all very friendly and helpful. Very close to york itself and found it easier to just Uber in rather than drive. The fat abbot was nice, didnt have food there but had a few drinks, reasonably priced, friendly, warm and welcoming. Access to the spa including pool, aromatherapy room, sauna, steam room and salt inhalation room was fantastic and the gym looked great (although not used by myself!). Overall our stay was great and id love to book another stay again in the future! Thank you!"
