"great hotel, really good breakfast buffet, excellent sitting areas at and near the bar, with good choice of music (jazz rather than techno) - i asked for and got a room overlooking the under-construction hs2 curzon street station."

"Great location, clean and comfortable room. Beds were very comfortable too and good shower in the bathroom. All staff we met were helpful and friendly, this was most appreciated at breakfast when the restaurant was very busy, everyone was seated quickly and the breakfast was really good with plenty of choice."

"The hotel was in an excellent location and my five night stay was good value for money. The bedroom was spacious and well equipped inc a fridge which is really helpful when staying for a longer trip. The hotel is well maintained and the staff helpful. The conference organiser Dan was particularly helpful and approachable. Note that the bedroom doors are heavy and shut loudly which does mean that there is some external noise noticeable from the corridor at night."

"Hotel was clean, neat, and today. Staff were friendly. Room was spacious and well prepared however I could not get the air conditioning to work, which ultimately disturbed my sleep. The breakfast was very basic, but that’s a given these days. I can’t remember the last time I stayed in a hotel and was actually impressed by the breakfast offering. The general food on offer was also very limited. I ordered pizza and some chips. The pizza was like a frozen one from a supermarket as were the chips. Very overpriced and poor quality."

"Great in most respects - very spacious, good and quiet aircon and very close to centre main positives. Negatives are minor ones - main one the shower, had to run 5 mins to get hot water (whilst reading the "save water, cut your shower short" eco message leaflet). When hot it was burn-your-skin-off hot and remarkably hard to coax it to pleasant midway point. Wifi a bit iffy which meant TV didn't work sometimes. Rest of furnishings/bedding a bit tired/hard/lumpy but none of this really impacted the big plus factors of location, space and cool air!"
