"This was a great break in a gorgeous property. Everything was as described, including the facilities and location / proximity to the beach. I had no concerns about the dogs in the garden with the high and fully secure fence and all rooms were spacious to accommodate us. This was our third stay in Southerness and most certainly the best property we have stayed in. We will be back."

"Clift Hill is a fabulous place to stay. We were a group of 20 friends and family and we loved the house. It's extremely clean, well equipped and comfortable. It has impressive rooms and views but it also feels very homely. The kids (aged between 4 and 11) had a brilliant time exploring the house and gardens, playing with the games and outdoor play equipment and taking over the hot tub."

"Located in a lovely quiet neighbourhood with well cared for lawns. Parking was a little tricky to find as the driveway next to the residence is off limits. Plenty of room for 3 people inside. It was inconvenient to learn there were no kitchen supplies (salt, pepper, cooking oil) as we’d booked it with the intention of using the kitchen right away. Easily righted with a trip to the store."

"We enjoyed our stay in the house.Next to a bowling green and the gokf course and with a wonderful back garden. The house was huge but had a lovely feeling. It had everything you could possibly need, altho one or two more sharp knives would be a bonus. Plenty to do in the area and lovely home to return to at night"

"Our group of 11 had a great time in Dumfries and environment. The house was perfect for our extended family to gather and enjoy four days/five nights together. There was generous space for all of us to have meals as a group and spend time lounging together in the living room in the evening, but also for people to have some quiet time. "This house is truly brilliant, lots of space inside and out, very clean, lots of supplies and well though out ‘extras’ eg, fire lighters for bbq and log burner, sewing kit, games etc. I had contacted the owners for some other information and their response was immediate and supportive, all very reassuring. The house is in a quiet area of the park, easy access to the beach, neighbours very friendly, and extremely good value for money. I can’t recommend this property enough, and hope to return one...
