"It’s an older property however it was charming. The rooms were basic but clean & comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked & delicious (extra). I enjoyed my stay & will book again for next year."

"A lovely hotel with many original features.
The dinner and breakfast were lovely, there was a nice selection of both.
The room was great and plenty of plugs to charge devices.
I liked the lounge/bar area with a wide selection of books and games available for patrons.
It's very well located for trips to Battle itself and Hastings.
Would very happily stay here again."

Could not find a fault with this hotel at all. All the staff were very polite and attentive and the breakfast was very good and set you up nicely for the day. The hotel was very close to the seafront but was situated down a side road so was very quiet at night.I will not hesitate to book The Sheldon on any future visits to Eastbourne.

We took a 4-night break in Eastbourne and decided on a B&B rather than a hotel. It is the end of a terrace of a 4-storey-plus-basement Edwardian houses and looks quite imposing as you approach it. It has a lift, so there was no problem with the cases. We had a twin bedroom (#6) on the 1st floor, which had lovely high ceilings and windows, so it was really light and airy. The beds were not together but pushed against the wall so they were at right angles. This unusual arrangement meant there was...

Superior King Room with Sea View was fantastic. Lovely big room with a great view of the sea. There was even a desk fan in the cupboard for us as it was so hot which was helpful. Both a bath and shower were there as well. Couldn't ask for more, worth the price!

Lovely birthday stay, complimentary drinks at the arrival, lovely top floor triple room. Bed was super comfy, didn’t want to get out. Great location as all the beach bars are across from the hotel.

The location is wonderful, 3 min walk to the beach and right next to the coach station. The bathroom is pretty large and nice. Well worth of its price.
