"We loved our room - Junior Suite with the biggest ever bed and fabulous view from the window overlooking the sea, with the pier to the left and the bandstand to the right. Sitting at the window became my "happy place" for our three days! The Jacuzzi bath was a nice touch but we should have asked Reception for a suction handle for the wall as there was nothing for my husband to hold onto in order to stand up and get out. The breakfasts were excellent with a good choice of hot meals cooked fresh to order. Personally I would have liked more choice of fruit but the fresh fruit on offer was adequate. The free glass of wine in the piano bar on the first night was a nice touch and we were delighted to be entertained on the piano all three nights by Annie, singing and playing (she has a beautiful voice), and Alan with his stunning playing of Jazz and Blues etc. The staff were most helpful. Thank you Chatsworth Hotel for a very enjoyable stay."

"The hotel is a little tired. There was no soap in the ensuite, but the staff were excellent. A minor point but the road was closed and there was no parking (ahead of Airbourne) so there was parking available foc with a permit on the local streets and they could have advised this ahead of time to manage uncertainties on arrival. They also advertise they want well dressed diners in the restaurants which is both offputting and not really true!"

"The location of the hotel is amazing and we had a great view from our window. However, so often it’s about the small details as to whether the stay is amazing or average. We had 2 bad experiences at breakfast. Firstly, we had breakfast included and paid for but my wife wanted a kipper so we paid a £3.00 supplement. However what she got was a small kipper you could buy from a supermarket in a sealed packet rather than a fresh kipper. So disappointing. And then this morning I had to ask twice for English mustard as it wasn’t with the other sauces and eventually turned up once I had finished. Small details make a big difference to my overall experience."

"Highly recommended, especially if you're using it as a central base to explore the High Weald hiking trails and local National Trust properties. The bedrooms are really a story of two parts here. The old wing feels quite dated with older, functional furniture, lacks air conditioning, and tends to get quite hot. The new wing is the exact opposite, much more modern and nicely cooled. Both areas are kept spotless! Just a heads-up if you need a firm bed: the mattresses are extremely soft and tend to dip in the middle. Breakfast covers all the standard items and is perfectly fine, but the highlight is the setting. The views from both the dining room and the bar terrace overlooking the golf course are beautiful, serene, and calming. We also had lunch and dinner at the restaurant. the menu is versatile, well-presented, and really tasty. The staff deserve a special mention, polite, warm, and genuinely doing their best to accommodate requests . The swimming pool is on the smaller side, but it also overlooks the golf course, stays clean, and was never crowded during our stay."
