We stayed for one night at The New Inn. A lovely quiet location and such a warm welcome with an open log fire burning as we arrived and lovely friendly staff. We ate downstairs in the evening and the food was both delicious and great value. The full English breakfast was fabulous - my husband said the best he has had for as long as he could remember so compliments to the chef!! We will definitely stay again when next in the area.

Could not find a fault with this hotel at all. All the staff were very polite and attentive and the breakfast was very good and set you up nicely for the day. The hotel was very close to the seafront but was situated down a side road so was very quiet at night.I will not hesitate to book The Sheldon on any future visits to Eastbourne.

We took a 4-night break in Eastbourne and decided on a B&B rather than a hotel. It is the end of a terrace of a 4-storey-plus-basement Edwardian houses and looks quite imposing as you approach it. It has a lift, so there was no problem with the cases. We had a twin bedroom (#6) on the 1st floor, which had lovely high ceilings and windows, so it was really light and airy. Wonderful stay right where we needed it. The staff were all so friendly and the room a great size and stocked with what you need. Parking is mainly residential but there are numerous car parks around. Great food in the pub also!

I chose this hotel as its connected to the terminal which makes an early check-in very quick and easy. The hotel has been renovated since i last stayed and is much nice, comfortable, specious room and a very nice bathroom. The service in the bars and restaurant was excellent and good food and drink at reasonable prices. Excellent relaxing stay.

Attractive small hotel in a quiet location and very close to the beach. Rooms are small but well appointed with all that one needs. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Car park is tight so not for nervous drivers! Breakfast is freshly cooked but limited choice - more fruit would be nice! The dining area (outdoors in nice weather) gets very busy and lively - a good sign but can be a little noisy - but not late in the evening. Recommended.
