"From the moment we arrived the stay at the Scholar was fabulous. Staff really looked after us, room was clean and spacious as was the rest of the hotel. Breakfast buffet style with pleny to choose from."

"The property is located in a nice area, easily accessible. It does not offer a proper breakfast, but a dining space, coffee, tea, snacks, milk, bread and fruit. The hosts are really helpful. However, the price is quite high, although could not find better in Edinburgh."

"Our stay at 3 John's Place was great. The Whalebone room was spacious and tidy, with a great view of the street and park. Amanda was super attentive and helpful via text and made our stay easy. She helped with an early check-in when we arrived earlier than expected and helped with storing our luggage on our depature day so we could explore more of the city before our flight. If/when we go back to Edinburgh we'll definitely look to book again!"

"I got an upgrade to a spacious room although it was in the basement. All amenities were included except a mini fridge was not included. Still a pleasant 2 night stay. "

"Hotel was conveniently located next to the Leith cruise port and was reached directly from the airport by tram. The very clean room offered a comfortable bed and pillows, a hot shower and a full bar with restaurant. "

"Great value stay. Breakfast was great with a selection of hot food and lots of fruit options. Front desk and maintenance staff were very nice and were working hard. Room was a university dorm with a lot of wear and tear, but that is reflected in the price. Lots of buses and about a 25min walk to Old Town."
