We have always loved staying at the Pinestone. We had another lovely visit staying in a villa overlooking the golf course. The carpets & furniture are quite dated but we still love coming here. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for renovations, we really hope it re-opens & new life is breathed into the Pinestone. The staff was very helpful & delivered a kettle to the villa so that I could make tea. We hope we can continue to stay at the Pinestone for future visits & that more care & attention is invested into the Resort to help bring it back to the vibrant, high standards it used to have.

Beautiful place, golf in the resort is amazing. Facilities obviously outdated and need maintenance. Staff are friendly and rooms are clean. Restaurant is under maintenance. A great place with lots of potentials but I guess need serious investment to revamp.

The rooms are clean and the staff is very nice and helpful, the place itself is very tired and dated with many things that are broken, missing or not working. The price is steep for a place that needs alot of work but it is in a beautiful and quiet spot with lots to do if you can look past the decor

I can appreciate that at one time, this was a great resort however, it is showing it's age big time. We had no TV and the restaurant was closed due to renovations. Our room was clean but the light in the bathroom wasn't working properly and the shower nozzle dripped while taking a bath. Bedding was very clean and it was just fine for our overnight that we needed to book asap. The staff were very friendly and accommodating however, it wouldn't be my first choice if we were visiting the area again.

The whole property was dirty and run down. Dirt in the carpets and what I believe mouse droppings. No amenities were open including restaurant. Property so bad chose not to stay there at all. Was told property was in partial receivership.

Room was very dated and requires a complete makeover. Probably hasn’t been updated in 40 years or more. Cobweb on ceiling above bed and bugs on wall and floor near bathroom. Bathroom also requires updating, toilet height was only 12” not helpful if you have hip or knee issues. Height of vanity low. Bathroom sink had a crack in it and drain hole was rusted. Towels were fairly old and needed to be replaced, Bed was comfortable but could do with newer linens. TV was analog so unable to get any channels, not that we needed to watch TV. Restaurant was closed for renovations. Musty smell throughout. All in all it is a property that requires a huge investment. We were only there for one night and the cost was reasonable.

The property is definitely dated, but v clean. Needed a place to stay for a local race which required 3 nights accommodation. Price was right, and then I was also informed at check in that bc the pool wasn’t open, I would be receiving an additional discount. Nice! Staff were wonderful, and provided me a lot of detail about what amenities were on site, AND the restaurant was open until 10pm which was great! Bed was comfy, loved having a balcony overlooking the little pond in front of the property. Parking and room access was easy, and room was well-equipped with a fridge and toiletries. Also the softest towels I’ve ever experienced at a hotel! Would love to come back in the summer with my kiddo to explore the area and facilities further.

We booked a group of 6 people on a weekend trip to Haliburton. When we got to the resort, we were told the restaurant wasn't available that evening since there was an event booked. Very disappointed after a long day of travel. The hotel is pretty run down throughout. It was a quiet place to sleep at least.
