"Lovely welcome from the girl on reception. We had a king sized room on 3rd floor looking out to Cliffords tower. Room was clean and comfortable with a coffee maker which made amazing coffee. There is a large carpark across the road which is free midnight till 8 but expensive at orher times but on par with other parking in york. There is a park and ride stop close by. Breakfast was one of the best ive ever had in a hotel. All staff helpful and friendly. Close to shops and many restaurants. Ideal location "

"Nice room but must have had smokers in it previously before us because it stunk of smoke 🚬 which was a shame because the room was nice! But the smokey smell was very unpleasant. Apart from that no other problems at all. Me and my husband are none smokers so this was an issue for us unfortunately. Staff at reception absolutely lovely and welcoming can’t fault the staff. Location was superb close to everything we needed. "
