"If traveling by car, this is a splendid place to stay in the Duro Valley. Staff and room were very nice. A wonderful breakfast was included, which seems to be a vanishing practice in Europe these days. The hotel offers diner (not included) as well. The town of Tabuaco is quite small so dining options near by are limited. We would stay there again."

"For someone who wants the experience of a full five star hotel luxury amenities and service — Vidago Palace is your choice. Starting with the greeting at the royal entrance of the palace and exceptional reception service and ending with the spa treatments everything makes you feel like royalty😂
Not to mention their excellent breakfast and a Michelin star dinner we had for a special occasion. And of course a magic park surrounding the palace."

This is the nicest European hotel we have ever stayed in. The building is fabulous, really nicely converted with lots of thoughtful design choices. The rooms are lovely, beds super comfy, nice big fluffy towels. Great indoor spa facilities (we had a brilliant couples massage) and the outdoor pool is the perfect place to swim and relax with a cocktail. There are loads of nice places to sit and relax inside and outside. Staying here feels as comfortable as being at home. The breakfast is...

A truly delightful experience that far exceeded my expectations, from the service and the people to the quality of the hotel. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at, and definitely somewhere I will come back to for a longer stay.

What a fabulous break we have just had thanks to Manual and his team. This is a family run , small Vinyard in a stunning location. We even had a little tour of the old house which is dating back 19 generations of the family. We booked on the day while touring the area. The rooms are brand new , inside old barns and buildings. Small but just what we needed as we had a large pool and garden just near the room. The breakfast was excellent. Served by really nice staff. We went for the dinner and...

Great staff, beautiful hotel with a stunning view. Only cons is the restaurant, the food is ok without being exceptional however it is largely overpriced compared to other restaurants in the surroundings.

This is a beautiful hotel based on an old Quinta with spectacular views to hills and mountains. It’s a five minutes drive to Casa Mateus. Our room was completely new with large windows looking out over vineyards. The pool is a good size and we loved having dinner on the terrace in the evening. A real treat!

Fantastic hotel. Everything about it is generous: the room sizes (bedrooms, the reception dining & lounges), the staff, the sizes of the meals & the drinks.

We have not written a travel review before but we do read them, and our choice of this Guest House was influenced by the good reviews we read. We are sharing our experience this time in the hope that other travellers may find it useful.
The InPatio Guest House is delightful. We are both very pleased that we stayed here. The location is great - central but still nice and quiet in the room. The river, tourist sightseeing, and plenty of shops, restaurants, cafes are within very close distance...

The hotel has a spectacular position overlooking the river and historical centre of Porto. Service was excellent and not overbearing. Breakfast and dining generally were high quality. The outside pool area is lovely. You can walk down to the river direct from the hotel, where there are a lot of bars and restaurants - it is however quite a steep path, so perhaps not suitable for all. Thoroughly recommended.

The hotel is excellently located, very near to all the tourism spots. Very close to the river.
We got a very warm and friendly welcome, and our host sat down with us and helped us plan our trip, suggesting where we could visit each day. We found this really helpful, having someone with local knowledge helped us shape and plan our stay better.

The warmest welcome and best check in I have ever known. Excellent central location, really attractive premises, spacious quiet room, comfortable beds. Absolutely all the staff were really friendly and very helpful, all extremely efficient. Breakfast was superb and served in a delightful room with a cafe bar. It was a pleasure to stay there.
