"Now one of favourite hotels in uk. Staff made a special effort for my partners birthday and hotel and grounds are stunningly beautiful. Spa was great as was the food. Probably the tastiest sole I've had. Eating out in uk is too expensive nowadays but this was worth it"

"The staff were so friendly, so helpful--ordering us a taxi, explaining about the Oxford Bus to Heathrow, etc. The concept of turning a prison into a hotel--wow! Our room was fabulous. The whole setting and what has been done with this enormous golden stone building is so imaginative and fun. Great location for walking/shopping in Oxford. Close to everything."

There is a good sized swimming pool which has allocated children hours. There was a good selection at breakfast and you can also order off a menu too. The restaurant also provided a good selection for dinner. The hotel is in a good location and a short uber ride from Oxford city centre. "
