"Very nice hotel, location was good and rook very nice but aircon poor. Room was 23 degrees and took 8 hours to cool to 22 degrees. We had same issue in another Lotte hotel which suggests it is deliberate control by hotel. We stopped at two other hotel chai s and both had great working aircon."

"We checked in, and we got our room on the 9th floor. As soon as, we opened the door, the room smelled very bad like sewed. So we called the front desk right away and let them know about bad smell in our room. One of the front desk team came up and checked the room. They did give us a different room without the view. The front desk team came back with the key and told us that they did give us a another room instead. This room is on the 17th floor(#1705). The room did not have the any bad smell at all, cleaner and has a view of the street. The breakfast was ok. We asked if can sit by the window so we can see outside. They didn't want us to sit by the window because it was for four people. We had to requested a couple of times then the host let us sit by the window. It wasn't busy, only a couple tables were occupied. The front staffs are very helpful, but not at the breakfast. Air conditioning was working fine. If we have a chance to go back, if the hotel let us stay in room #1705, we would go back there again. The house keeper team were very nice. Thank you"

"I spent a week at the Stanford in Myeongdong, in a superior double room, which was quiet, spacious and well-maintained. It even had a nice view of Namsan Park and tower. Aside from the wifi signal being a little weak at one end of the room, I have no complaints at all and would happily stay again. As many guests note, the hotel’s location is excellent, and its staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fine, but there isn’t much in it for those who, like me, are lactose intolerant and prefer to eat Western food."

"The good: central location, walkable to Myeondong shopping. Staff was very courteous and helpful. There is free laundry and dryer use, just bring your own detergent or buy some there. There’s a community kitchen you can use to cook or eat in. The bad: our double room was incredibly small, there was barely room to walk around the two single beds. Walls are a bit thin and we did hear our neighbors laughing but this didn’t disrupt my sleep as they quieted down in the late evening. Try not to be booked on floor 17, which is below the 18th floor guest lounge that sometimes will be rented out for private parties. You’ll hear noise from the party, we did on floor 17."
