"We had a wonderful stay in this cosy, quiet cottage with plenty of space and everything you needed. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked but, you will need to bring any essentials salt and pepper, oil, etc. very nice pet welcome pack and packs of welcome with tea and cleaning items. There is a village shop nearby and several pub restaurants. There are a number of great walks on your doorstep from easy to more challenging without needing drive.. A beautiful area to explore so...

"Rosebank is a very clean, comfortable cottage. Lovely views across to the hills at the back & pheasants & lots of birds visit the garden.Very handy for the Coledale Inn, & the Royal Oak & 5 minutes in the car to Keswick if you want to try something different like Thai food at the the Star of Siam. "As we were checking out, we booked a stay at The Grange for next summer, and I'm already looking forward to returning. Pretty much everything about The Grange Country House is wonderful. The location feels like it’s a bit away from town but it's an easy 15 minute walk to the main square. The staff were exceptionally attentive and so very welcoming. They seem genuinely kind, and are glad to answer any questions you might have. Our room was large with stunning views, and it was immaculate. The bathroom looks to have been completely redone quite recently, either that or it’s just maintained perfectly well. I don’t stay in many places where I actually want to spend time hanging out in the room but this was an exception. I spent plenty of time in front of the window in a cozy chair looking out at the fells with a cup of coffee and a toffee biscuit (both provided in the room). Breakfasts were wonderful, as was the service at breakfast. The breakfast room is bright and airy and we had lovely conversation with fellow travelers - everyone was so friendly! Overall: 10/10, exceptional, hands down."
