"My house got the house to celebrate my 66th birthday. He invited our daughter & her yorkie poodle, 2 of my best friends with their husbands. The guys went fishing but just spent time at the lake, the boaters were out in the water so it wasn’t a good time to fish from the docks."

"Very clean and furnished with EVERYTHING you might need. Single lane road proved challenging on one occasion when we came head to head with 2 other vehicles and a ditch on each side. Driveway near by enabled us to pull over a little…but not too far as backing down the driveway would be difficult. Driveway to our house was steep but much better. Good shopping and eating in town plus easy drive to Waynesville and Cherokee."

"The property was just as pictured…very pretty interior of home and well appointed. We appreciated the beautiful hardwood and tile floors as opposed to carpet.And the bonus was the large screened-in porch overlooking the woods!"

"This home provided us with an enjoyable stay in Highlands. We loved the great room but it needs more lighting, especially during seasons with shorter daylight hours. Beds were comfortable. The owners were great communicators. Has some difficulty with the main door but we managed."

"We love this place. We stayed on the same weekend last year, and decided to come back. This year, the weather was wonderful. We cooked at the cabin, played in the creek, and made s'mores in the fire pit. The kitchen is well equipped, beds comfortable, and seating in the living area is cozy. The location is superb...so close to downtown Cashiers but you feel you are isolated. We enjoyed viewing several waterfalls nearby. I highly recommend this property! We hope to return again!"

Nestled in the foothills of the smokies but just outside of town. Clayton had everything we needed for our visit and the location was so central to an abudance of scenic adventures. "We come back to Clayton ever couple of years or as we can because our Granddad was raised in the area. We've rented multiple houses and this one was one of the top! Had everything we needed and it is clean and just what the listing says it is. It is convenient to everything we wanted to see and do. And we loved how quiet the neighborhood is. "This house is a little hidden gem ! Views were fantastic coffee in the morning looking at the beautiful mountains on the back porch which one is screeed one not fire place every thing you need is there! Even had cookies, sank bars and coffee. Everything is new and clean"

The home was huge and we loved that we were able to walk into town (but note that both the driveway & the street the house is on are quite steep!) and the porch is so lovely. The house wasn’t super clean & we had some issues communicating with the host/company with a particular issue, but overall we had a nice stay & would probably stay here again!"

"2/2-2/5, 2024. We gave our children and grandchildren a snow tubing trip for Christmas and this house was the perfect accommodation for all of us. There was plenty of room for everyone and it was easy to separate the teenagers/younger grands from the adults. The gameroom was the best hangout area and roomy enough for games and the “dance parties” that the kids enjoyed. We have zero complaints about this property.
