Very attentive staff. Lovely room with a massive window & excellent view. Good choice at breakfast time. Evening meal was a deal - portions were rather small. A surprise to have to pay an additional £7 a night parking.
We have stayed in and around Newton Abbot over many year`s as our Friend`s live there, but by far this was the nicest place we have stayed, everything was just so right ,ie the Hotel, food, and the friendliness of the Staff, and God willing we will be staying there next year, and taking some Friend`s,plus ...
A group of 15 of us had an evening reunion . The meal we arranged for was the Christmas 3 course which was very enjoyable and the manager gave us a special price.
This is a nice hotel and the main area has been decorated to a high standard. I was in a garden room and was so cold I slept in my jumpers. In the morning I discovered the radiator had been switched off. This should have been checked before my arrival. Staff were pleasant but not overly informative. ...
We were staying near our two families as they camped. The farmhouse is within walking distance down narrow country lanes or paths to the sea. The nearest spot is Hope Cove, which is a quaint village and harbour with a small beach.
I stayed in the hotel while visiting a friend in Exeter. The hotel room was very comfortable and clean unfortunately the toliet in my room did not work and neither did the heater in the bathroom.
When it comes to choosing a wedding venue, hotels in Devon have much to offer in the way of specialist facilities and will take care of all of your many and varied needs on the big day. Devon is such a beautiful part of England and you'll take away memories that you'll be able to cherish forever.
Hotels in Devon are the perfect option when you're thinking of somewhere to host your celebrations and ensure that everything goes as planned. These wedding hotels take 'normal' guests too but they'll have specialised facilities for handling things like catering and receptions that are of particular interest to brides and grooms. The big day will be stressful enough without having to worry about the details and dovetailing of different areas. So let a wedding hotel in Devon take charge of the details for you and most of those concerns will be taken from your shoulders, allowing you to really enjoy the Big Day.
The on-site restaurants and bars in a wedding hotel in Devon will take care of the refreshment needs of your guests and foster that important relaxed and cheerful ambience you need for the occasion. The presence of professional chefs and catering services will also go a long way to smoothing things along. Actually, you'll be saving money by having the cucumber sandwiches, hors d'oeuvres and desserts, as well as the main meals, prepared by professionals under the one roof. This helps reduce the probability of things going horribly wrong at the last minute too, as centralised services are easier to coordinate than dispersed ones.
Once you've started making your guest list you'll probably be surprised at the numbers involved! Naturally not wanting to cause offence by leaving people off, you may well end up with hundreds of them coming to your wedding and many of your guests will need to arrange accommodation, or have it arranged for them. With Devon wedding hotels you'll have the advantage of being able to book those that do have to stay overnight into the same hotel, which will reduce their transport costs and make your own life a whole lot easier on the big day.
