"We stayed here with our 2 kids (1 and 3yrs) and it was great. There's a babybed, high chair and the pool has a fence around is. The property is big, it was nice to just hang around the house on warm days. It's situated in the countryside, It's about 10min to the nearest town/supermarket and 25min to Malaga centre, this was no problem with our rental car. Cons: Washing machine and dishwasher worked but are old and worn down."

Only negatives were that it was COLD and windy in Feb and the heating is really dependent on one wood stove in the LR. Also electric heaters in bedrooms to take chill off in pm and am. Landlady was very responsive and helped a lot with suggestions for local restaurants and sights. Lots of dogs barking (a la France!) otherwise very quiet and peaceful. "

"We really liked this villa and would definitely stay here again. The community feels very safe and is very well looked after. I would say you definitely need a car if staying here because it is fairly remote but with a car you can be in Coin within 10 minutes and Malaga or the other coastal resorts are about 30 minutes away. Coin is a very well stocked town, all the major supermarkets are there as well as fuel stations, restaurants, etc. Check-in was a breeze, communication beforehand with Alison and Martin was excellent and their property manager Maite and her husband Jose went above and beyond when we needed them following my father-in-laws slip in the bathroom that resulted in a broken hip and a five night stay in hospital in Malaga. A plumber promptly arrived the next day to fix the leaking sink trap.The pool maintenance guys and gardeners were very thorough too, keeping the property very well manicured. Some other reviews have mentioned being overlooked. Whilst strictly speaking this is true, we didn’t notice anybody hanging out of upper floor windows of the adjacent property and there’s screening between the properties at ground level, so the garden still felt private. If you use what3words, this reference (///gutless.chime.nappies) will get you all the way to the front door, although the first time you go, you will need to wait at the security gates for Maite to give you the villa keys and a remote button to open the security gates.5*"

"We spent 10 days here with our family of 13 in July. It was fantastic! We were 8 adults and 5 young children. The villa was more spacious than we anticpated, bedrooms are all a great size and air conditioned (it was hot in July). Plenty of bath and shower rooms / toilets. And the outside space is perfect! Pool is lovely, the kiddie play room in the garden and games room in basement are good extras. It was spotlessly clean on our arrival, all communication and check in were great, and it's well equipped for cooking / eating etc. You definitely need a car. The location is quiet, peaceful, out of the way with great views of the mountains, but easy driving distance to the town, other lovely villages around, the beach, the city, the mountains and lakes. We had a great time and did not want to come home. "

"An excellent stay at the Hostal Duran. The place is clean and well manged by the lovely owners and staff. The Hostal is centrally located with good public transport links, the bus stop for the Caminito del Rey is only a hundred metres away and the train station is around 15 minutes walk or a bus from the same above stop, all restaurants and bars are on your doorstep. A recommendation, choose a room with a panoramic view (Terrace), the views to the castle are wonderful."

"Was just an overnight stop over at the airport and wanted something close by. It's a little isolated but don't let that put you off. Super enjoyed the room and the breakfast and staff were amazing. If you are spending time in Malaga I would recommend stopping more central but if you want a good priced hotel with amazing service I would definitely give this place a look "
