"Overall I don’t know that I recommend this hotel. First, the good: the entire staff was super friendly and accommodating, it was easy and reasonably priced to book a private taxi through the hotel for day trips, and the breakfast buffet was really good. The bad: it was next to impossible to get any sleep during our three night stay. The walls are paper thin so you hear everything next to and above you. "I loved the unique decoration styles throughout the lounges—they give the place a luxurious charm. The rooms are very clean, but the building itself feels older and could use some updates. The staff were wonderful: friendly, pleasant, and never intrusive. My favorite part was the swimming pool. With palm trees all around and the gym close by, it felt like stepping into a tropical forest from a distant era, complete with antique touches in the design. Breakfast offered a few Burmese dishes, though I wish there were more choices."
