The resort is brand new, the pool and bungalows still being built, but the main resort, restaurant, bar, are finished and very nice. Service exceeded even Myanmar service expectations and wifi was just as bad as Myanmar expectations. We felt a little trapped as it is a very expensive taxi or boat to get anywhere else and the restaurant prices were definitely resort prices. The service provided by the staff is truly extraordinary: from the moment we arrived, they helped us with early check-in, until we left, they suggested a massage while we waited a couple of hours after check out to take a taxi. When I was working in the lobby, they would even help me kill the mosquitos near me. The food at the restaurant is excellent, which is very important considering the lack of options in Inle Lake. The hotel itself is beautiful, with great views of the lake, a dock with boat service, and huge, modern rooms that are perfect for relaxing after a day in the lake. However, it's really far from town and pretty difficult to get to. Also, you would have to take a hotel car for 45 minutes to get anywhere if you wanted to eat out or were looking for a bar scene. However, if you just plan to stay in the hotel, its great.
