"The hotel was clean, the grounds were pretty and the staff was pleasant. Booked the hotel for the pool. My 12 year old said the pool was boring and I agree. The pool area environment was plain and not inviting especially for a kid."

"Our stay was relaxing and there was a very friendly welcome from the owners. One evening we had a reception with other guests, both French and English, in the beautiful, large garden. We sampled sparkling wine from Saumur. Our room had a door leading to the garden where we had our own table and chairs.The decor was authentic 18th century perhaps and all the furniture and ornaments were in keeping with a chateaux. "Hotel was holding a large separate function which initially meant we were denied a table in the restaurant - we were on a cycling tour, staying one night, so this was frustrating after a long day's ride. However, on reflection, we were granted a table. Food was superb, facilities were great, once the initial restaurant hurdle was over, we found the staff friendly and helpful."
