The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming they were superb. We were sorry the restaurant and bar were shut and there was no hot option for breakfast. (We stayed Sunday to Monday)

The hotel was really nice built in the 17 hundreds nice n clean staff exceptionally helpful and very friendly we required a disabled room there was stairs into hotel which I could manage then once in everything on the level room was lovely with lots of space and had a wetroom with rails to hold onto and the choice of 2 different shower heads to use the meals were really good would highly recommend it

My wife and I stayed for just one night in a room with a mountain view. The room was decorated in a traditional country house fashion and was very clean and comfortable. We were welcomed upon our arrival by the owner who was attentive throughout our stay, as was all the staff. At first, there was an over-abundance of deference and I really wanted the staff to 'unbutton' a bit and let their own personalities shine through. Overall first class. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Staff polite, efficient and friendly. Food delicious. Only one minor gripe around slowness of service in restaurant. Breakfast was stunning. Would recommend to anyone.

Lovely hotel, fabulous friendly staff. One of the best breakfasts I have ever had in a hotel, letting you choose exactly what you want so it’s made to order and piping hot. Will definitely be back - loved it.

All in all it was a very nice stay food was excellent room was very good only thing that took the edge of the whole experience was we were told breakfast finished at ten we got down at 9-32 and a snoty waitress said breakfast finished at 9-30 I pointed out it’s only two minutes past surely you can squeeze us in no chance spoilt the whole experience

Very quiet and peaceful

I arranged the trip for my son's 11th Birthday and he enjoyed it so much he said the hotel should have 5 stars. My boys loved the pool, the room, the food and the chocolate milkshakes. It's a beautiful clean area by the sea, with the lovely big park and amusements. I will definitely book here again.

Convenient for Wigton

Staff very helpful and friendly. The room was spotless and the beds very comfortable. Had dinner which was delicious and well priced. Will definitely book in if we go back to Gretna.

Had a fab stay first time visit to the lakes with my family... Breakfast was delicious filled us up for the day... Quite village was gutted that hotel didn't have Sky TV hence missed the Aston villa game as most Local pubs would only allow children in till 9.00 pm... Would stay again... Was disappointed with the wifi as took our Amazon stick for kids to watch films but we had no internet connection
