"Long past its prime, this hotel is in need of renovation and updating. The lack of in-room climate control was especially bothersome. Some of the staff were incredibly professional and helpful, others seemed absolutely bothered. We left after our first night and had bites to our exposed skin for the rest of our time in Shanghai, which we believe must have come from the hotel. Location is ok but not nearly as convenient as others on Nanjing Road or the the Bun. "

"The hotel’s location is super convenient for both shopping and transportation. There are many restaurants around the hotel. Check in staffs are nice and helpful. The suite room is beyond my expectation. It’s so spacious and has an excellent arrangement. Also a nice view, quiet environment and comfortable rooms. Happy hour afternoon tea is a wonderful touch. In short, it’s an amazing experience to stay in this hotel. Highly recommend."

"Excellent experience! Clean rooms, great service, and an amazing breakfast. The housekeeping team did a wonderful job and frequently left us free fresh fruit. All of the staff members were very nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet was awesome, featuring hundreds of freshly cooked options from local Shanghainese specialties to Western favorites. The air conditioning also worked perfectly and was very quiet at night. Will definitely stay here again!"

"Right In the heart of the city, surrounded by endless restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Steps to multiple bus lines and subway. Our room is large and with big windows. Room service is very good! I will stay again. The only thing is the carpet, it would be super nice if the hotel can change their outdated carpet."

"Good location being near to the main shopping belt of Nanjing East. Convenient to take various train services at the People’s Park station nearby. Hotel services and cleanliness are of the Marriott standards."
