10/10 Excellent

"Location right by the Royal Mile and bus stops to many parts of Edinburgh.Within walking distance to the New Town (Princes Street), Tron Kirk. Budget eating options close by Sainsburys, Piemaker, Subway and lower cost restaurants, Chinese etc. Very friendly, informative, staff that will help you with directions and a free map.Search carefully for laundry options as the hotel doesn't have any and one close by was expensive. Ask for a room in the new block.I had rooms in both blocks that were both good but the new block rooms are better decorated.Restaurant, bar on 3rd floor."

"We were in a private superior double bed room on the fourth floor for five days. Unfortunately, the elevator only went to the third floor, but staff were very helpful getting our luggage to the room. The room is kinda small for two people with a lot of luggage. The bathroom shower was awesome! There was limited housekeeping and had to be requested. Clean towels and coffee pods ran out after the third day but after requesting more, they were delivered. The bar and dining area were nice. The menu was limited, but there are so many wonderful restaurants nearby to satisfy dining expectations! Bella Italia was a wonderful option."

"Beautiful hotel in an extremely convenient location to the train station (Waverly) and to the main downtown area. Top floor check in and champagne bar was also very beautiful and it is a nice touch to get a free glass of champagne (or non-alc bev) when you check in, and there were a lot of free drinks and snacks in the room. Only downside is that in the evening, we had significant trouble with slow wifi that made it very difficult to stream movies/shows."

"Loved this location. a 15 minute walk or so from the heart of Edinburgh. The rooms were well appointed. I travelled with my son and nephew, both over 20 and we needed somewhere to stay for two nights. This was one of the few locations which could accommodate us in one room. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Definelly would stay there again."
