![Cwmbach railway station, Mid Glamorgan. Opened by the Great Western Railway in 1914 on its Vale of Neath line from Swansea Victoria to Pontypool Road via Aberdare (High Level) and Quakers Yard, this station closed in 1964. ![Cwmbach railway station, Mid Glamorgan. Opened by the Great Western Railway in 1914 on its Vale of Neath line from Swansea Victoria to Pontypool Road via Aberdare (High Level) and Quakers Yard, this station closed in 1964. "An overall excellent stay, this is why we keep coming back when we stay in Cardiff. The only adverse comment this time was the breakfast on the second day of our stay. We had to wait for some of the food items and the bacon was somewhat hard, very unusual for this quality hotel, especially on the day when dining room Wass fairly quiet."

The food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, while the staff were friendly, attentive, and professional throughout my visit. The bar was also a great spot to unwind, with a wonderful atmosphere and excellent service. "Lovely location about a 5 min walk from central train station. 2 entrances - one on Mary street pedestran area and directly next to an LGBTQIA pub :), spitfire bbq across the street, convient access to 3 arcades and Cardiff Market, 15 min walk to the Cardiff castle. Staff very friendly and the clean modern rooms (on 6th floor) are quiet with minimal street noise. Breakfast is a good variety of fry up items, cereal, fruit and yogurts. Would stay here again!"
