I booked an ocean-view room, which the view was absolutely stunning. I celebrated my birthday during my stay, and overall it was a great experience. The food at the property is excellent I took advantage of the five-course dining experience on the evening before of my birthday. One of the highlights of my stay was receiving a complimentary cabana on the day of my birthday, which made the celebration even more special. It was a wonderful touch and I really appreciated it. However, I did not like the fact that the room did not have an actual TV. Instead, there was only an iPad provided, which was not a feasible replacement for in-room entertainment. I do feel the property should offer more options for guests when it comes to entertainment. Overall, the atmosphere of the hotel was pleasant and the location was great. I would also like to highlight Remi and Riahna at the front desk, who were both very helpful and welcoming during our stay. Great customer service always makes a difference. I would definitely book again." Check in was very smooth and we were greeted with fresh coconuts, I have zero complaints about the kontiki resort. However my one and only complaint would be to not eat the ceviche at mood beach it got me absolutely sick and I was throwing up all night long every hour. The fish must have been old and I did not appreciate getting served that. Other than that the beaches were beautiful and easily accessible from The Kontiki.
