The Boat Hotel

"The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only slight fault is that those working were extremely busy and so service was a bit slower. This is not unique to this hotel, we have found this in other places. Just a shortage of staff. But those there couldn't have done more to provide their service."

"A beautiful historic hotel with an excellent restaurant large comfortable lounge area. The Check-in staff, Mel and Ang were wonderful (and Aussies like us) and Fred who looked after us at dinner was great. There was even a piper walk-through in full regalia during dinner which was a nice touch. The rooms were good with everything we needed. Very nice stay."

The dinner was delightful, featuring fresh, locally-sourced ingredients that set the tone for a wonderful stay ahead. While I want to keep this secret spot to myself, I can't help but share how exceptional my stay was. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle, I highly recommend The Speyside Hotel. Just don’t tell too many people!"

"Nice, quite small room - but fine. Small, very confortable pillows. Very thin walls. - could hear people in the toilets next door. Couldn't get wifi to work properly."

"The room was clean and TV, drinks bathroom all ok, the hotel was undergoing refurbishment, some electrical work in process in our room, so dining facilities were not available, can recommend the Bistro for breakfast and the chinese was good for takeaway. Price was good. The folk museum was excellent and Highland wild life park nearby."

"The 'Aviemore' hotel block is dated but despite this the room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. We used the pool with our kids however the water was very cold and we didn't stay long. The whole resort has plenty to offer and is good for a family stay but it could do with some areas being refreshed soon."
