"We arrived later than planned, dinner service finished at 9 but the staff were AMAZING and sorted 4 hungry chaps out, out of hours. They were brilliant. Having stayed in a different hotel for the last 2 weeks every night, this place was the highlight by a mile. "

We arrived after check in at 10pm, but it was very easy to get to our room with the clear instructions that were sent through! The room was clean and cosy, and breakfast in the morning had lots of choice and tasted great! Thank you very much to the team for our stay.

beautiful peaceful surroundings, spacious comfortable rooms, hotel has it own vineyard that makes the most amazing wine. Staff were super helpful when we had problems with the car and had to extend our stay. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again on our return journey.

On our arrival, we received a very friendly welcome and told about the many facilities at the hotel. The hotel is very modern and comfortable with a beautiful lounge area. As well as a sauna, It also boasts a tennis court, pool and ping pong tables. They are at the time of writing this building an extension which will have more facilities. Although building work was going on, we were put in a lovely room and not disturbed by it at all. The view from the room was sensational.

We really enjoyed our stay here and we love Rovereto and have been here before, so we will be back! We can’t recommend it enough!
The staff were very helpful, I felt very well looked after as a person with a gluten intolerance, staff were really well informed and control measures were well established to prevent cross contamination. There was a choice of bread etc for me, a separate toaster and most of the variety of other breakfast foods were labelled as gluten free. We ate pizza in the...

Beautiful room with beautiful views! The room had everything we wanted for a short Italian get away with the private hot tub and sauna. Staff were so lovely and approachable, breakfast was amazing.
The only downside was that the TV wouldn’t connect to our phones, and the area itself is difficult to find food if you’re looking to eat after 2pm as everything is closed for a few hours.

Wonderful hotel. Properly helpful service. Welcoming. Relaxing. Great food. Do not miss the beef tartare, which is amazing. Stunning views across the mountains.

We had a fantastic two-night stay at Hotel Garda Life. We were immediately welcomed by Gigliona, a remarkably kind and friendly receptionist. Her excellent English was a huge help, as I couldn't communicate in Italian, and she made our check-in completely seamless.
The hotel is perfectly located: it's close to many great restaurants, a gelateria, a shopping area, a Coop market, and it's just a five-minute walk to Lago di Garda.

The best area to stay in Covelo is within the main village itself, or in one of the small, picturesque hamlets located in the surrounding Val di Non.
For couples seeking a quiet and romantic escape, staying directly in Covelo village offers a wonderful experience. You'll find a selection of charming guesthouses and family-run hotels, often with beautiful views of the valley. The village itself is small and peaceful, superb for leisurely strolls and enjoying local life. Its central location also makes it convenient for exploring the wider Val di Non.
Families, particularly those with an interest in outdoor activities and nature, might prefer a stay in one of the hamlets just outside Covelo, such as those closer to Lake Santa Giustina. These areas often feature agriturismos (farm stays) which can provide more space and a direct connection to the agricultural landscape of Trentino.
When is the best time to go to Covelo?
The best time to visit Covelo, Trentino, Italy, for pleasant weather and outdoor activities is generally from late spring to early autumn, specifically May to September.
For those who enjoy hiking and exploring the natural beauty of the Dolomites without the peak summer crowds, late May and early June are ideal. The weather is comfortably warm, the landscapes are lush, and the trails are typically clear. This period offers a peaceful experience, superb for couples looking for a romantic escape into nature. You'll find fewer people on popular routes, allowing for more serene walks.
Families travelling with children might prefer July and August, when the weather is at its warmest and all local attractions and facilities are fully operational. The longer daylight hours mean more time for outdoor adventures, from gentle strolls around Lake Ledro to exploring the nearby Val Concei. Many local events and festivals also take place during these months, offering more entertainment options for all ages.
If you're interested in the autumn colours and a quieter experience, September is a wonderful choice. The temperatures remain mild, and the changing foliage creates stunning photographic opportunities.
