We stayed with a friend and her 4 year old - the folks running the farm were super friendly, and the 4 yo is still talking about how she misses Ben & Bob (the farm Collies). The cottage is on a working farm, and has been nicely restored, though it's clearly an old building, and I must have banged my head *every* time I went to load the fire in the kitchen! It's a place with real character - the farm has cows, goats, chickens, and fish, and would be great for anyone with kids. The wifi was...

The facilities were very good and the owners were very welcoming and left a basket of snacks, wine, bread and milk. Thank you

Luxurious comfy apartment in the heart of the delightful small town. Fully equipped with everything youll need. Never any trouble parking directly opposite the property, though it was outside of peak period. My only complaint is local takeaways not staying open long enough.

On arrival we were greeted with a bottle of wine biscuits and a bottle of milk which was a lovely touch. It is a lovely place to stay and would have no problem booking again.

Not very easy to park due to short street

The property was immaculate, well furnished, cosy and homely. Everything you needed to make your stay lovely.

Fell View is the most lovely get-away cottage. It is perfect for two people! I love where it is, and despite being in the middle of town, it seemed private, and cosy. I wish we could have stayed longer. I could not recommend this cottage highly enough.

The house was perfectly located in the town. Beautiful decor, lovely and warm, would highly recommend to anyone wanted to enjoy the Lakes.

Lovely flat in an excellent location.

The location was perfect, right in the centre of Windermere and very convenient for exploring the surrounding area. It was within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants and other attractions, which made it really accessible and convenient during our stay.

Great property, very nice layout and design, all we needed was there, great location, not far from parking and central to Ambleside. Would highly recommend

Really beautiful cottage for a family or a small group. You have the space to yourselves but the landlo

Lovely place and Julie is so welcoming and helpful. I would definitely book when next in the area!

Beautiful cottage throughout. Spotlessly clean when arrived. In an excellent location in town. Close to many pubs, restaurants and shops. Would highly recommend for a wonderful holiday.

We had a lovely few days in this quaint cottage. There is everything you need and very close to the village pub, where they let us park our car, as not really ideal outside the cottage. Will definitely return if we go back to the Lake Distruct.

Pros: The house has everything we need! The host even prepared ice cubes and a bottle of milk for us. The house is very clean and tidy and spacious with three bedrooms available to sleep 6. It has all the amenities including dishwasher tablets, all cleaning stuff as well as all kitchen stuff. The host even had drawing books for kids. It is so comfortable sitting in the living room area enjoying the balcony view of a large grassland. Cons: Check-in instruction is not exactly clear that where to...
