"Excellent location, also easy to get to. A little noisy but thays because it's right next to bars etc. Which isnt an issue if you're going to be at them!"
"Prestonfield House is like an oasis in central Edinburgh. It is a beautifully maintained period house with nice grounds. The staff were excellent. I had a party of Thai friends for dinner and they loved both the atmosphere and the dinner itself. "
"We were obsessed with this hotel. It was so pretty and eclectic inside, great art and decor in the rooms. Staff was so nice and the breakfast was to die for. We did a very impromptu whisky tasting and learned a lot- it was better than the whisky tour we did earlier in the week. We were sad to go and can’t wait to visit again! "
"The property was always neat and clean. The property staff paid attention to details and provided lots of helpful information about transportation, food options, and laundry services. The WiFi services were great and transportation stops were close by. Lovely and cozy guest house and the area around it."

"Spot on. Bus stop and CoIp adjacent. Quiet, very clean, excellently equipped a d hosts comprehensive information made it a pleasurable stay. Highly recommended ."
"This was the most beautiful and best-equipped hotel I’ve ever stayed at in the UK. Not a single stain or speck of dust in the room—everything was perfectly clean. The water drained smoothly, the towels were wonderfully comfortable, and the coffee machine was a nice touch. Truly a hidden gem. Even though it’s about a 30-minute walk from central Edinburgh, I would happily stay here again.
The only small request I have for the hotel is about the coffee cups provided. They don’t match the size of the coffee machine, so the coffee tends to overflow unless you watch it closely. It would be great if the cups could be replaced with ones that fit properly."
"Easy check in, clean and well kept accommodations. Friendly and inclusive staff. Nifty old building. Nice vibes throughout. Convenient location.
I stayed in a private room so cannot speak for the dorms, however, our room was satisfactory, cool and comfy.
I stayed only 1 quick night so wasn’t able to enjoy any activities besides sleeping, but they seem to have schedules of things going on in (or around?) the hostel.
Would recommend if you want to stay close to the city centre and want to be around other travellers. You can choose between shared dorm rooms or private rooms. "
