"The room was spotless. Staff was fantastic. The parking on site was a luxury we later discovered during our 4 weeks in Italy. This was our first night after our flight from New York. The goal was to dine at Pepe in Grani. The hotel an easy 20 minute drive to Caiazzo. Hotel Plana did a great job and lived up to its past reviews."

"The hotel was very nice. The location was in walking distance to all three gates into Pompeii ruins. The hotel was in the center of multiple restaurants and lots of shopping. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast dining room has an amazing view of the archeology site."

Beautiful property, staff extremely helpful in all aspects. Several weddings took place whilst we were there but they had no impact on our stay and rooms are extremely well soundproofed so no disturbances from the weddings at all.

The hotel is lovely, very friendly helpful staff. Very clean and smart looking. The room we had was the Deluxe double which was spacious and had a door to a balcony area which looked out towards Mount Vesuvius. The main problem for us was the location. The location was OK in that it wasn't crime ridden or anything like that but it is on the Sarno train line from Naples. This is fine for going into Naples and then possibly going on from there but as most of the things we wanted to do were on the...

Lovely hotel, great spot for getting to/from naples airport - about 35euro in a taxi/20mins drive (much quicker than any central naples hotels). It was a perfect "last day" spot for me, after a week on the amalfi and wanting a hassel-free early morning transfer. This hotel has a beautiful swimming pool, fantastic restaurant (actually the best pasta I'd had all week!) and my room was really spacious and beautifully appointed (with a v. comfy bed!!). The owner and Manager were very hands on and eager to please the guests and help in any way they could to make their/our stay in their hotel as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a lovely meal and wine and our room was upgraded so that we had the beautiful view of the Bay of Naploli and the Island of Capri every day.

My wife and I recently stayed at Hotel Plana and had a fantastic experience. We were visiting the Royal Palace of Caserta, and the hotel’s location couldn’t have been more convenient. Having on-site parking also gave us great peace of mind.
From check-in to check-out, the staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. Although we arrived a little earlier than expected, they kindly accommodated us and made sure we could check in right away.

The Hotel Herculaneum was very clean and just across the road from Herculaneum. The staff were all great - very friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Also spoke very good English. The breakfast was lovely, as was the breakfasting room and the girls (and men occasionally) serving were very friendly and helpful too. The hotel was down a steep hill from the Ercolano Scavi stop on the Circumvesuviana rail line. This railway line went from Naples to Sorrento and was very cheap and easy to...

Good hotel for visiting Pompei and the ruins.
A big mall next door is a bonus.
Sara on the desk made me feel very welcome and was great with advice and taxis.

We had a basic room which WAS basic but very clean (basic meaning dated) we stayed 4 days and the room cleaning service was excellent, breakfast was continental, WiFi was a bit hit and miss but okish, no SKY in the basic rooms,, ideally situated for Pompeii as its literally across the road, didn't know until we got there that entry is free every 1st Sunday of the month. I'm glad we didn't pay for a transfer from the airport to the hotel because there's a bus outside the airport (outside...

The property is modern, the rooms are spacious and reflect 4 stars.
The location is about a mile from the city centre, there is a shuttle service to the city centre offered by the hotel. Alternatively, you can get a cab for €20 to city centre.
There were good options for breakfast, and staff are welcoming.
It would be good to have an iron in the room, although you can request for one in the reception. The only downside is the iron board cover was a little old and dirty, please replace it...

This hotel is about 5 mins walk from the town, in a pretty, quiet spot away from the noise and crowds. Our room looked over the pool, which was maintained daily. All staff were friendly and helpful, even though our Italian was non-existent. Restaurant was excellent, there is another restaurant up the hill with great sunset views over Naples. Easy access to Pompeii, Herculaneum, Vesuvius etc by car or train. Good buffet breakfast. Room clean and modern with modern en-suite and balcony, which...

The hotel is in a prime spot for the centre of town, very close by are the ruins. On arrival the hotel manager could not be more welcoming, very helpful on tips of what to do and the best way of doing them. The rooms were clean and tidy, and everyday the rooms were cleaned.

A lovely relaxing resort just outside of the main square. All staff went out their way to help. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, and clean. Bonus, quite AC unit.

The best area to stay in Cimitile is in the town centre, particularly around Piazza Conte Lancellotti.
This central area offers convenient access to Cimitile's main attractions, including the Early Christian Basilicas. The piazza itself is a pleasant spot, often bustling with local life, and you'll find a selection of local shops, cafes, and trattorias nearby. It's a compact area, making it easy to explore on foot.
For travellers interested in history and local culture, staying in the town centre is ideal. You'll be just a short walk from the impressive basilica complex, which showcases ancient architecture and art. This allows for relaxed exploration without needing transport.
Couples looking for a peaceful base to explore the region will appreciate the town centre.
When is the best time to go to Cimitile?
The best time to visit Cimitile is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months.
These periods offer pleasant weather, with comfortable temperatures that are ideal for exploring the town and its surroundings without the intense heat of summer. You'll find it's a great time for leisurely walks and visiting historical sites.
For those looking to avoid crowds and enjoy a more tranquil experience, late spring or early autumn are particularly good.
