"Loved the location. We enjoyed snacks and drinks next to the gorgeous pool. Gorgeous sunsets over the sea. The staff were super helpful. We loved that we could walk to Herculaneum. Highly recommend!"

"The hotel was very nice. The location was in walking distance to all three gates into Pompeii ruins. The hotel was in the center of multiple restaurants and lots of shopping. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast dining room has an amazing view of the archeology site."

"The room was spotless. Staff was fantastic. The parking on site was a luxury we later discovered during our 4 weeks in Italy. This was our first night after our flight from New York. The goal was to dine at Pepe in Grani. The hotel an easy 20 minute drive to Caiazzo. Hotel Plana did a great job and lived up to its past reviews."

Beautiful property, staff extremely helpful in all aspects. Several weddings took place whilst we were there but they had no impact on our stay and rooms are extremely well soundproofed so no disturbances from the weddings at all.

The owner and Manager were very hands on and eager to please the guests and help in any way they could to make their/our stay in their hotel as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a lovely meal and wine and our room was upgraded so that we had the beautiful view of the Bay of Naploli and the Island of Capri every day.

Lovely hotel, great spot for getting to/from naples airport - about 35euro in a taxi/20mins drive (much quicker than any central naples hotels). It was a perfect "last day" spot for me, after a week on the amalfi and wanting a hassel-free early morning transfer. This hotel has a beautiful swimming pool, fantastic restaurant (actually the best pasta I'd had all week!) and my room was really spacious and beautifully appointed (with a v. comfy bed!!). The hotel is lovely, very friendly helpful staff. Very clean and smart looking. The room we had was the Deluxe double which was spacious and had a door to a balcony area which looked out towards Mount Vesuvius. The main problem for us was the location. The location was OK in that it wasn't crime ridden or anything like that but it is on the Sarno train line from Naples. This is fine for going into Naples and then possibly going on from there but as most of the things we wanted to do were on the...

This hotel is about 5 mins walk from the town, in a pretty, quiet spot away from the noise and crowds. Our room looked over the pool, which was maintained daily. All staff were friendly and helpful, even though our Italian was non-existent. Restaurant was excellent, there is another restaurant up the hill with great sunset views over Naples. Easy access to Pompeii, Herculaneum, Vesuvius etc by car or train. Good buffet breakfast. Room clean and modern with modern en-suite and balcony, which...

My wife and I recently stayed at Hotel Plana and had a fantastic experience. We were visiting the Royal Palace of Caserta, and the hotel’s location couldn’t have been more convenient. Having on-site parking also gave us great peace of mind.
From check-in to check-out, the staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. Although we arrived a little earlier than expected, they kindly accommodated us and made sure we could check in right away.

The hotel was wonderful, the grounds and inside beautiful all facilities were superb. Breakfast was lovely with loads of choice and all waiters really took care and looked after us. Rooms were lovely and room service excellent. All the staff made us feel welcome and were amazing at giving us advice and help especially as we had several problems with lost luggage and a car problem did everything they possibly could to help us. We had a basic room which WAS basic but very clean (basic meaning dated) we stayed 4 days and the room cleaning service was excellent, breakfast was continental, WiFi was a bit hit and miss but okish, no SKY in the basic rooms,, ideally situated for Pompeii as its literally across the road, didn't know until we got there that entry is free every 1st Sunday of the month. I'm glad we didn't pay for a transfer from the airport to the hotel because there's a bus outside the airport (outside...

The property is modern, the rooms are spacious and reflect 4 stars.
The location is about a mile from the city centre, there is a shuttle service to the city centre offered by the hotel. Alternatively, you can get a cab for €20 to city centre.
There were good options for breakfast, and staff are welcoming.
It would be good to have an iron in the room, although you can request for one in the reception. The only downside is the iron board cover was a little old and dirty, please replace it...

The five rooms is a great small hotel in the heart of Naples. One of those places you would not know is there until you’re shown.
Alfredo is super helpful and sent details of where to go before I arrived and was then in touch via WhatsApp on the day of arrival in order to check all was ok . Once there it was fun going through the big door and up in the old style lift .. once on floor 4 you are greeted by a clean, modern and stylish boutique hotel - nicely decorated with a breakfast room and...

Good hotel for visiting Pompei and the ruins.
A big mall next door is a bonus.
Sara on the desk made me feel very welcome and was great with advice and taxis.

I spent two nights in Naples. This was a very nice hotel, close to the famous opera house, Teatro di San Carlo. I had a comfortable spacious room with a great power shower. The Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The best area to stay in Cimitile is in the town centre, particularly around Piazza Conte Lancellotti.
This central area offers convenient access to Cimitile's main attractions, including the Early Christian Basilicas. The piazza itself is a pleasant spot, often bustling with local life, and you'll find a selection of local shops, cafes, and trattorias nearby. It's a compact area, making it easy to explore on foot.
For travellers interested in history and local culture, staying in the town centre is ideal. You'll be just a short walk from the impressive basilica complex, which showcases ancient architecture and art. This allows for relaxed exploration without needing transport.
Couples looking for a peaceful base to explore the region will appreciate the town centre.
When is the best time to go to Cimitile?
The best time to visit Cimitile is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months.
These periods offer pleasant weather, with comfortable temperatures that are ideal for exploring the town and its surroundings without the intense heat of summer. You'll find it's a great time for leisurely walks and visiting historical sites.
For those looking to avoid crowds and enjoy a more tranquil experience, late spring or early autumn are particularly good.
