Ok for short term stay
Comfort was ok but bed too hard for my liking. The rooms need updating with efficient heat pumps and appliances such as hairdryers. Also small maintenance jobs needing to be done, eg windows sealing to prevent cold coming in.

The rooms were very clean and the bedding was spotless. But my daughter had to swap beds because the first one was so uncomfortable. We couldn't sit on the sofa as it was very worn and felt like you were falling through it. The water pressure in the shower was non-existent. The motel in general felt bit tired, and the fittings were very dated. It was fine for a weekend where we didn't need to stay in all of the time, and convenient for getting into the cbd and to the competition we were attending.

The room was very clean but very small. Ideal for a 1 night stay, but we were travelling around New Zealand and had a lot of luggage which had to be kept in the car. Lovely lady on reception. Would recommend paying a little extra for a bigger room.

Disappointed to find no milk in the fridge, rooms really need black out blinds as exterior lights make the rooms very lite up at night - curtains are very light in colour and don't block out the light. Found floor in the kitchen to be not cleaned under the table - something sticky on the floor, shower also could have been cleaner. Things like 1 wine glass was also disappointing. Nice relaxing time had in the spa - bonus!

Nice enough room, the motel is very dated and could use an overhaul. The main reason for my low scoring is the actual motel surroundings.. Junkies and drunks everywhere.

Very close to the CBD The Manager was Lovely and very helpful a pleasure to talk to. The room needed to be painted marks all over the walls. Curly bulbs in everything was very unpleasant to look at. should look into led bulbs.

Good quality beds, sufficient space to sit, prepare food in the separate kitchen and to shower. Although it was hot, it was possible to open up some windows against each other to have the wind blow through the unit to cool off.

Think the room configration needs to be looked at. Double bed in the lounge and 2 single beds in the bedroom doesn't work. Also no nets on the window so no privatice. Especially as the double be in lounge, had to shut the curtains so no one looking in (shame when nice sunny day

We had a lounge and bedroom unit, doors wouldnt close, door frames not straight. Only get 3 channels on sky; 2 sport 1 movie. 1 teaspoon! Yahoos downstairs kept us awake half the night. To be fair though I phoned the owner at about 1am and she sorted the problem out. Was clean and tidy, but wouldnt stay again, not a pleasant experience.

Our studio unit (#6) was just large enough for the double bed. There wasn't sufficient room to wheel a suit case in past the bed and the wall. The bathroom was a comfortable size but the toilet was so close to the vanity you need to sit sideways even if you're not a large person. There is no kitchenette in the studio and there is limited room to make tea and coffee as the refrigerator sits on top of the only flat surface - a small table. The bathroom door opens outwards so you need to take care when opening it as it will make contact with anyone in the room unless they're on the bed.

Very average., small and basic. Bit tacky.
This place is on the absolute edge of what is classed as the city. The staff insisted it was a 10 minute walk, but google maps said it was 2.6 km, and it did take me 25 minutes to walk from the main bus terminal in the city centre. I was on the ground floor room, I was not happy about cars and trucks reverse parked only a meter away from my room, they there noisy and people could see into the room. The walls where made of paper , I could hear everything in the next room and upstairs. Also I was near an external staircase, again I had to draw the curtains to stop people looking straight in. This place is barely 2.5 stars.

A very small studio with no cooking facilities - not even a glass! During our 3 night stay our room was not cleaned, bed made - we tidied ourselves as we always do but it is usually remade, tea & sugar weren't replaced, bin wasn't emptied. Towels were replaced. Toilet paper was only 1 ply, which is false economy as you need to use more! A real disappointment as the staff were pleasant and the room looked as though it had been recently redecorated although some artwork or wall art would have brightened the room up.

Queen bed in the small livig toom, dining table only had spa e for 3 people squashed in front of the stove. Couch only fit 2 people. Bathroom was terribly small and poorly designed.

Very helpful couple run this motel.
Helpful couple, phoned taxi for us, gave directions, made the stay easy. Comfortable bed. Clean and tidy. Carpet needed cleaning or replaced. Warm.
